About Cycle Japan

Cycle Japan is a family of locally owned cycling tour companies that share one simple goal: helping visitors experience Japan beyond the usual tourist trail. While each branch has its own unique character and routes, they all operate with the same philosophy—small groups, expert local guides, high-quality bikes, and unforgettable experiences.

Our journey began in 2013 with Cycle Osaka, introducing guests to the food, culture and hidden backstreets of Japan's friendliest city. Building on that success, we expanded to Cycle Kyoto two years later in 2015 offering iconic city highlights, peaceful temples and hidden backstreets. Cycle Hiroshima followed in 2018, combining the city's moving history with its vibrant modern culture and beautiful coastal scenery. Our latest offering founded in 2025 is called Cycle Kasagi and offers tours exploring Japan’s incredible countryside in the mountains of rural Kyoto.

Although each location is independently run by guides who know their city inside out, the branches work closely together behind the scenes. We share the same commitment to exceptional customer service, carefully planned routes, rigorous guide training and premium equipment. This means guests can expect the same high standards whether they're exploring Osaka's lively neighbourhoods, Kyoto's ancient temples Hiroshima's iconic history or the tea fields of Kasagi.

Our central reservations and support team helps visitors plan multi-city itineraries, making it easy to experience several destinations with a familiar level of service throughout their trip.
